Pomerleau Entrance Award for Mi’kmaw and Indigenous Students

Open to full and part-time students who will be enrolled in year 1 of study of Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Project Management, Electro-Mechanical Technician or Mechanical Engineering Technology at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.


Application assessment will consider

  • Financial need
  • Requirement: Mi’kmaw/Indigenous person
  • Primary preference: applicant from one of the 13 Mi’kmaq nations in Nova Scotia (Acadia, Annapolis Valley, Bear River, Eskasoni, Glooscap First Nation, Membertou, Millbrook, Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation, Pictou Landing, Potlotek First Nation, Sipekne’katik, Wagmatcook or We’koqma’q
  • Secondary preference: applicant from any nation in Mi’kma’ki
  • Tertiary preference: Indigenous person from one of the 3 nations in Atlantic Canada (Mi’kmaq, Wolastoquey or Peskotomuhkati nations)
