Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in any year of study of eligible programs at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.


Eligible programs include:

  • Brick and Stone Masonry
  • CAD Technician – Mechanical
  • Carpentry – Diploma
  • Civil Engineering Technology
  • Electrical – Industrial Maintenance and Controls
  • Electrical Construction and Industrial
  • Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Industrial Instrumentation
  • Mechanical Laboratory Technology
  • Pipe Trades
  • Plumbing
  • Steam fitting/Pipefitting


Application assessment will consider

  • Financial need
  • A strong commitment to pursuing studies and belief in personal success in chosen field
  • Good academic standing


About the award
The NSCLRA Claude Langley Memorial Scholarship recognizes and celebrates the career and life of Claude Langley – Divisional Manager at Black & McDonald who passed away September 24th, 2009.  Designed to create a lasting testament to Mr. Langley, the permanent endowment provides opportunities for individuals interested in the construction sector to access educational opportunities at NSCC.  This scholarship helps mitigate financial barriers or circumstances which might compromise the completion of their studies.
