About the award
As a lifelong learner, Wilfred G. Moore excelled in many fields and sports but spent much of his career in welding. He was a welding instructor at the Nova Scotia Technical College and then moved on to become an Assistant Foreman and Foreman at the Halifax Shipyard. At the time he was reputed to be the best welder in Halifax. To honour his legacy and love for welding, his three sons are creating this award to inspire NSCC students to achieve the same high standards in welding that Wilfred did.

This award is available for NSCC students from HRM that have chosen a path in welding and want to continue to become the best welders that they can be.
