Open to full-time students in the final year of study of Marine Engineering Technology or Marine Engineering Management Technology at the Strait Area Campus.


Students must demonstrate

  • Academic merit
  • Preference will be given to members of the Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering or a relative of a member


About the donor
The Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering (CIMarE) was incorporated on April 30, 1976 to advance and promote the science and practice of marine engineering, naval engineering, ocean engineering, marine electrical and electronic, control engineering and other associated professions in Canada.

The Canadian Institute of Marine Engineering Scholarship will offer financial assistance to students enrolled in the Marine Engineering Technology – Diploma and Marine Engineering Technology – Advanced Diploma programs at the Nova Scotia Community College’s (NSCC) Nautical Institute. This scholarship was established to support students demonstrating exceptional scholastic achievements, a strong mechanical aptitude and the leadership qualities so highly sought today in the Marine Industry.
