Colin and Ryan A. MacAskill Memorial Award

Open to full-time students enrolled in any year of study in any program offered at the Kingstec campus.

About the award
Nova Scotia Community College gratefully acknowledges the generosity of Colin and Ryan’s family and friends – without their support this award would not be possible.
The award was initially established in honour of Ryan MacAskill, a second year NSCC Financial Services student at the Kingstec Campus who lost his life in an accident shortly before graduating in 2006. In 2013, after the sudden passing of Ryan’s older brother, Colin, it was the family’s wish to include an award in memory of Colin. Colin graduated from the Financial Services Program at NSCC in 2003 and went on to complete his Business Administration degree at Mount Saint Vincent University.
This award acknowledges Colin and Ryan’s personal generosity toward their friends and family, as well as the significant value they each placed on receiving a college education.
