The Kerry Lockhart Memorial Radio Award
Open to full-time students who will be graduating from year 2 of Radio Television Journalism -Radio Performance and Studio Production at the Ivany Campus.
Students must demonstrate
- Academic performance
- The importance and relevance of why show preparation as well as knowledge of a station’s format and demographics are important to a successful career in radio
- Applicants must be graduating from the Radio Television Journalism – Radio Performance and Studio Production program this spring.
About the donor
This award is in memory of Radio Television Arts 1984 Graduate and Alumni Kerry Lockhart.
Kerry Lockhart grew up in Avonport, Nova Scotia before he entered the RTA program at the Kingstec Campus in Kentville. Kerry was well known for his sense of humor and compassion for others. His knowledge of music and his passion for “the format” was remarkable and to him every music log was nothing less than a masterpiece.
