The Bertossi Group Sponsorship Opportunity


Open to full-time students enrolled in any year of study of Baking and Pastry Art, Culinary Management, or Culinary Skills at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.


Application assessment will consider

  • Commitment and interest in program and future career
  • Good academic standing
  • Students in Year 2 must have already completed a co-op with the Sponsor


Payment details
Year 1 recipients:

  • 50% ($1,750) of the funding will be issued upon selection
  • The remaining 50% ($1,750) will be issued upon successful completion of work term

Year 2 recipients:

  • 50% ($1,750) of the funding will be issued upon selection
  • The remaining 50% ($1,750) will be issued upon graduation


Work integrated learning and/or post graduate work requirements

  • Recipients must complete a work term with the Sponsor


About the sponsor
The Bertossi Group consists of four authentic, Italian inspired restaurants in Halifax, Nova Scotia committed to serving only the finest, freshest ingredients. The Bicycle Thief, Ristorante a Mano, La Frasca and il Mercato Trattoria have become fixtures of the Nova Scotia culinary scene. Everything is made from scratch at the restaurants, giving students an amazing hands-on experience to learn from some of the best chefs in the industry.
