Funding for Futures


Open to full-time students enrolled in any year of study in Electrical Technician, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical – Industrial Maintenance and Controls, Electrical Construction and Industrial, Electronic Engineering Technology or Electronic Systems Technician at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.


Application assessment will consider

  • Commitment and interest in program
  • Financial need
  • Self-identification: applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents
  • Preference: applicants belonging to one or more equity deserving groups


About the award
External funding has become available from Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC) for NSCC students in the above noted programs. The funding is intended to support tuition, materials, textbooks, and cost of living expenses for students, up to a maximum of $10,000 per student. Please note that applying through the student awards portal is the first step in a two part application process. Students meeting initial eligibility requirements will be required to complete a second application process, which will be reviewed by the funder. Final award decisions are at the sole discretion of the external funder and only successful applicants will be contacted.
