About the donor
Nova Scotia is in an incredible period of growth and development as it strives to double its population by 2060. To address the needs of the province, a focus has been placed on growing the skilled trades workforce and removing barriers for those wishing to enter these careers. On October 19, 2023, the Government of Nova Scotia announced the Actions to Accelerate the Growth of Skilled Trades in Nova Scotia. One of the actions is to create the ‘Growing Nova Scotia’s Skilled Trades Workforce Bursary’ at NSCC for two years. This bursary is proudly offered by the Government of Nova Scotia.
