The Sharon Currie-Veinot Geomatics Engineering Technology Award


Open to full-time students who will be graduating this spring from the Survey Technician program and who will be enrolled this fall in the Geomatics Engineering Technology program at the COGS (Centre of Geographic Sciences) site of the Annapolis Valley campus.


Application assessment will consider

  • Strong leadership and setting a positive example for their classmates
  • Good academic standing
  • Applicant must be graduating from the Survey Technician program this spring and enrolled in the Geomatics Engineering Technology program this fall


About the award
In memory of Sharon Currie-Veinot, a past graduate of the GET program at COGS/NSCC. Sharon is remembered as a hard-working, diligent student and mother who treated all her peers with equal respect and empathy. She was always looking out for the others, ensuring they were well equipped for fieldwork and even that they had a snack. This award will be given in her honor to someone who exemplifies these same characteristics and compassion towards their fellow classmates.
