R.G. Sobey Leadership Award

Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in any year of study of any program at the Annapolis Valley, Burridge, Cumberland, eCampus, Ivany, Lunenburg, Pictou, Shelburne, Strait Area, Sydney Waterfront and Truro campuses. This award is renewable for students in multi-year programs (based on successful completion of first year in program and remaining in good academic standing).

Application assessment will consider

• Financial need
• Commitment to community involvement
• Academic merit
• One (1) recipient per eligible campus

About the donor
Rob Sobey is a successful businessman, community leader and prominent philanthropist. Rob has served as Chair of the Nova Scotia Community College Board of Governors and as a Director on the NSCC Foundation Board. Most recently, Rob served as Chair of Make Way – The Campaign for NSCC. Among his many contributions to NSCC, Rob has created and funded the R.G. Sobey Leadership Award at NSCC.
