The Dashonn Jondell Award


Open to full and part-time students enrolled in year 1 of Automotive Service and Repair at any campus where the eligible program is offered.


Application assessment will consider

  • Financial need
  • Career aspirations
  • Good academic standing
  • Self-identification: African Nova Scotian or Mi’kmaw/Indigenous


About the award
The Dashonn Jondell Award was created to support and encourage African Nova Scotian and/or Indigenous students pursuing a career in Automotive services. This award is named in honour of Dashonn Jondell States who, aspired to be a mechanic but was taken from us too soon by an impaired driver. This award is open to those who have a passion like his.
