Ruth Pulsifer Cobequid Educational Centre Inspiration Award

Open to full and part-time students who will be enrolled in year 1 of any program in the School of Trades & Transportation at any campus or any program at the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS).

Application assessment will consider

• Financial need
• Good academic standing
• Requirement: applicants must be graduates of the Cobequid Educational Centre in Truro 

About the award
Ruth Pulsifer was a dedicated teacher, counselor and humanitarian. Her ability to see potential in others, combined with her no-nonsense approach to classroom antics landed her a job as Guidance Counselor where she quickly won the respect of students and staff. She was compassionately involved in the lives of countless young people until her retirement in 1994. She was also deeply involved in community and believed in giving back to help others in need.

The Ruth Pulsifer Cobequid Educational Centre Inspiration Award was created so that Ruth’s legacy can continue to help others reach their full potential. This award is for any graduate from Cobequid Educational Centre looking to pursue a post-secondary education in the school of Trades and Transportation at any campus or at the COGS location of the Nova Scotia Community College.
