Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in year 1 of eligible programs at any campus where the programs are offered.


Eligible programs include

  • Architectural Engineering Technician
  • Building Systems Technician
  • CAD Technician – Mechanical
  • Carpentry – Diploma
  • Civil Engineering Technology
  • Construction Management Technology
  • Drafting – Architectural
  • Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Occupational Health and Safety


Application assessment will consider

  • Financial need
  • Why student chose their program of study
  • Good academic standing
  • Entrance to an NSCC program directly from high school


About the donor
This award has been established in support of the Construction Association of Nova Scotia’s (CANS) 150th Anniversary Industry Campaign. This campaign was launched in recognition of the value of education and the role of the construction sector in the growth of Nova Scotia’s economy.

The Dora Construction Endowment Fund will provide opportunities for Nova Scotians interested in the construction sector to access educational opportunities at the Nova Scotia Community College and help mitigate financial barriers or circumstances which might compromise the completion of their studies.
