Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in year 1 of Civil Engineering Technology or Construction Management Technology at Ivany campus.


Application assessment will consider

  • Career aspirations
  • Commitment and interest in program
  • Good academic standing
  • Preference: applicants from Antigonish, Colchester, Cumberland and Pictou counties


About the donor
Higgins Construction, based in Trenton Nova Scotia, has been providing construction services to local industry, businesses, governments and institutions throughout the north eastern region of Nova Scotia for more than 60 years.

As a legacy to its many decades of constructing facilities and infrastructure throughout northern Nova Scotia and to recognize the many talented employees who have contributed to a wide variety of successful projects, Higgins Construction has established this award to assist students who have an interest in construction and a passion for learning, to prepare for a fulfilling construction career.
