Open to full and part-time students enrolled in any year of study in any program at any campus.


Application assessment will consider

  • Financial need
  • Commitment to program/field
  • Good academic standing
  • Requirement: three-year absence from formal studies
  • Self-identification: Female and a single parent


About the award
The Carol Brasok Lifelong Learning Award was established in memory of the late Carol Brasok. Carol touched the lives of many people and her passion for making a difference was constant wherever she was. Her contributions in the fields of recreation, administration and social services have left enduring legacies in many communities. Carol was a loving mother and grandmother and a very special sister, aunt, cousin, mentor and true friend to countless others.

This award is intended to support single mothers who are pursuing a career as a mature student at the Nova Scotia Community College.
