Doctor Roger F. Tomlinson Award for GIS
Open to full-time students enrolled in Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing, or Geospatial Data Analytics at the Annapolis Valley Campus – COGS site.
Application assessment will consider
- Commitment and interest in program
- Commitment to lifelong learning
- Natural curiosity and listening to others
- Passing grade in all courses during fall term and on track to achieve honours status (no mark below 80 and an average of 85)
About the donor
Environmental Systems Research Institute Inc. is pleased to offer this award to honour the legacy of Dr. Roger F. Tomlinson.
Roger Tomlinson was a geographer and was always proud to say that. He loved GIS, the field that he invented. He had a passion for staying current with the most recent technologies and always had insights that none of the rest of us had. He also loved attending the annual ESRI User Conference and the opportunity to both see and acknowledge the great work of GIS professionals from around the world.
