About the donor
The Hope & Inspiration Award was created by The Honourable Dr. Mayann E. Francis during her service as Nova Scotia’s Lieutenant Governor. During her tenure, the award supported 39 students, and was available on all thirteen (13) NSCC campuses. Inspired by the success and spirit of those first recipients, Dr. Francis launched a fundraising campaign to raise funds so fourteen (14) awards can continue to be given each year.
The Honourable Mayann E. Francis Hope & Inspiration Award has been established to celebrate and recognize students enrolled and attending any program at the NSCC who, through their circumstances, provide hope and inspiration to others.
