Disability Supports and Services Program Bursary


Open to full-time students enrolled in year 2 of the Disability Supports and Services Program at the Kingstec and Sydney Waterfront Campuses.


Application assessment will consider

  • Demonstration of intent to stay and work in the province in the disability support sector for one year upon graduation. Students will be required to complete a Return to Service Agreement with the province of Nova Scotia as part of the application process.
  • Requirement: students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents
  • Students already in receipt of the Disability Supports and Services Program Bursary are not eligible to apply


About the donor
The Nova Scotia Department of Community Services (DCS) has provided this bursary funding to financially support students with expenses related to tuition, textbooks and associated fees.

  1. Disability Supports and Services Year Two Bursary Screening Question


    To be considered eligible for this bursary, you will be required to complete a Return to Service Agreement with the province of Nova Scotia. This means that you will be required to stay and work in the province, in the disability supports sector, for one year after your graduation from NSCC. Please indicate that you agree to this application requirement.

  3. Disability Supports and Services Year Two Bursary Screening Question – Sharing of email address with the Department of Opportunities and Social Development


    As part of their reporting requirements, the Department of Opportunities and Social Development requires that NSCC share recipients personal email addresses with them. This is so that the Department of Opportunities and Social Development can contact recipients from time-to-time about potential training and employment opportunities.
