Ocean Contractors Limited Award

Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in year 2 of Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Project Management, Heavy Duty Equipment Repair or Truck and Transport Repair at the Akerley and Ivany Campuses.

Application assessment will consider

• Financial need
• Commitment to pursuing studies and an overview of why the student has chosen field of study
• Personal overview of why the student feels they are a good candidate for this award
• Good academic standing

About the donor
The Ocean Contractors Limited Award has been established in support of the Construction Association of Nova Scotia’s (CANS) 150th Anniversary Industry Campaign. This campaign was launched in recognition of the value of education and the role of the construction sector in the growth of Nova Scotia’s economy.

The Ocean Contractors Endowment Fund will provide opportunities for Nova Scotians interested in the construction sector to access educational opportunities at the Nova Scotia Community College and help mitigate financial barriers or circumstances which might compromise the completion of their studies.
