Atlantica Mechanical Award

Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in year 1 of eligible programs at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.

Eligible programs include

• Architectural Engineering Technician
• Building Systems Technician (HVAC&R)
• CAD Technician – Mechanical
• Construction Project Management
• Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Metal Fabrication
• Pipe Trades
• Plumbing
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• Refrigeration and Air Conditioning – Geothermal
• Welding – Diploma

Application assessment will consider

• Academic merit
• Strong commitment to pursuing studies
• Why student believes they will succeed in their chosen field
• Good academic standing

About the donor
The Atlantica Mechanical Award has been established in support of the CANS 150th Anniversary “Building Futures” Campaign launched in recognition of the value of education and the role of the construction sector in the growth of Nova Scotia’s economy.

The CANS campaign was designed to celebrate the CANS 150th Anniversary and create the CANS 150th Anniversary Endowment Fund which will provide opportunities for individuals interested in the construction sector to access educational opportunities at the NSCC and help mitigate financial barriers or circumstances which might compromise the completion of their studies.
