- Academic merit (minimum of 80% average in all NSCC courses or from previous post-secondary education)
- Good academic standing
- Preference: Mi’kmaw/Indigenous persons with ties to the North enrolled in eligible programs at Lunenburg campus (first), Strait Area campus (second) and all remaining campuses (third).
