Disability Support Professional Certificate Bursary - Part-time
Open to part-time students enrolled in year 1 of Disability Support Professional at the Lunenburg campus.
Application assessment will consider
- Demonstration of intent to stay and work in the province in the disability support sector for one year upon graduation. Students will be required to complete a Return to Service Agreement with the province of Nova Scotia as part of the application process.
- Requirement: students must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents
Note: Bursaries will be offered on a first-come, first-qualified basis
Payment details
The bursary is valued at $4,567 spread out over two years. Funds will be paid in installments over the duration of eligible terms in the schedule noted below as long as eligibility requirements are maintained. Students who were selected for this bursary who continue to meet eligibility requirements will have their bursary automatically renewed for year two of their program:
- Year 1, term 1 instalment: $1,272.50
- Year 1, term 2 instalment: $1,272.50
- Year 2, term 1 instalment: $1,011.00
- Year 2, term 2 instalment: $1,011.00

The Nova Scotia Department of Opportunities and Social Development has provided this bursary funding to financially support students with expenses related to tuition, textbooks and associated fees.

To be considered eligible for this bursary, you will be required to complete a Return to Service Agreement with the province of Nova Scotia. This means that you will be required to stay and work in the province, in the disability supports sector, for one year after your graduation from NSCC.
