Sobey Award College and Job Readiness Fund


Open to current recipients of the Sobey Award.

This fund supports students who, due to financial need circumstances, may experience challenges in purchasing necessary educational items to ensure success in their program.

Some examples of support requests may include:

  • Textbooks
  • Supplies
  • Uniforms
  • Certifications
  • Professional development

Expenses such as travel, cost of living, etc. are not included for consideration.


Application assessment will include

  • Financial need
  • Strong commitment to pursuing their studies or a career in their chosen field
  • Good academic standing


Please note: This fund will remain open until all funds have been committed. Applications will be assessed regularly and the fund may close prior to the posted deadline.
