Michelin Technical Scholarship Program

Open to full-time students enrolled in year 1 of eligible programs at any campus where the eligible programs are offered.


Eligible programs include:

  • Electronic Systems Technician
  • Electrical Technician
  • Electronic Engineering Technician
  • Electronic Engineering Technology
  • Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Electro Mechanical Technician
  • Electrical Construction and Industrial
  • Electrical – Industrial Maintenance and Controls
  • Industrial Instrumentation


Application assessment will consider

  • Commitment and interest in program and future career
  • Good academic standing
  • Approximately 30% of the scholarships are designated but not limited to: women, African Nova Scotians, Indigenous Nova Scotians, recent immigrants and persons with disabilities.


Payment details

  • Successful candidates enrolled in a two-year program will receive $3,750.
    Upon selection, $750 will be provided for program-related expenses such as textbooks and required supplies.
    The remaining $3,000 will be awarded after successful completion of the summer co-op.
    Failure to complete the co-op forfeits the remaining funds.
  • Successful candidates enrolled in a one-year program will receive $2,250.
    Upon selection, $750 will be provided for program-related expenses such as textbooks and required supplies.
    The remaining $1,500 will be awarded after successful completion of a five-week work placement with Michelin.
    Failure to complete the work placement forfeits the remaining funds.


Work integrated learning and/or post graduate work requirements

  • Scholarship recipients must complete required work experience opportunity with Michelin and will be prioritized for hiring upon successful completion of program.

Michelin recognizes that real-world experience is key to a well-rounded education. The Michelin Technical Scholarship Program offers hands-on technical training, a financial award, summer co-op employment, and the opportunity of a 5 week work experience to students in select programs who are interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing.
