About the award
The Robert Charles McVarish Scholarship was established in 2021 in memory of our beloved brother and friend, Rob. This scholarship recognizes the dedication of a Cape Breton student, who despite life’s challenges, continues to work hard toward achieving their goals. Though he is missed dearly, Robert’s legacy will live on by helping to provide a deserving student with the support they need to persevere through life’s challenges.
