About the award
The Sergeant (Ret’d) Tyson Bowen, CD Memorial Award is made possible through the support of an anonymous donor in honour of Sergeant (ret’d) Tyson Bowen, CD from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Sergeant Bowen quickly rose through the military ranks while in Afghanistan during his combat tours. His peers respected him and he became an amazing leader at a very young age and advocate for mental health awareness and PTSD. This award is open to students attending Pictou Campus who demonstrate leadership and commitment to community.
